Suncoast Law is built on a foundation of reliable, client-centred service. From our office on Mahan Road in Gibsons, we help individuals, families and business owners along the Coast with three kinds of work: planning for the future and settling estates, buying, selling and developing property, and setting up and running a business.
A few of the terms you will see on these pages, in plain words. Probate is the court process that confirms a will and the executor’s authority to deal with the estate. Conveyancing is the legal work of transferring property from a seller to a buyer and registering the change at the Land Title Office. A strata property is one where owners each hold their own lot and share the common property. On the Coast that includes condominiums, townhouses and bare-land stratas of detached homes. A shareholder agreement sets out how the owners of a company will make decisions and what happens if one of them leaves.
These areas often overlap. A family buying a home may want to update their wills at the same time. A business owner selling up may have a commercial lease to deal with and an estate plan to revisit. Because all three are handled in one office, you can bring the whole picture to us.
Every matter is different, but the way we work is the same.
Call, email or send a message through our contact page. Tell us briefly what you need help with. We will let you know whether it is something we can assist with and what the next step is.
We go through your situation, answer your questions and agree on what needs to be done. You will leave with a clear picture of the steps involved and what we need from you.
We prepare the documents, deal with the other parties and registries involved, and keep you updated as things move along. If anything changes, you will hear from us.

Not sure where your matter fits?
Many matters touch more than one area. A property purchase may involve a company, and an estate may involve land. Get in touch and tell us what is going on. We will let you know whether it is something we can help with, and point you in the right direction if it is not.
